FP7 IRMOS also examined aspects of translation of ALS terms at the application level into resource-based attributes to bridge the gap between customer expectations and cloud provider resource management mechanisms. The European Commission has presented a summary of the results of various ALS research projects (from specifications to monitoring, management and implementation). A Service Level Agreement (SLA) focuses on measuring the performance and quality of service agreed upon by your organization and the provider and can be used as a measurement tool as part of the contract or as a stand-alone document. The main objective of alS is to identify the level of service provided. IT service organizations that manage multiple service providers may wish to enter into Operational Level Agreements (OLA) that explain how some parties involved in the IT service delivery process interact with each other to maintain performance. AlS should have two components: services and management. From a regulatory perspective, organizations must have a formal contract with suppliers providing products or services. The treaty must clearly address the obligations and responsibilities of all parties involved. In the past, some organizations may have had informal expectations of suppliers who did not feel compelled to write or not properly reviewed, resulting in problems with applicability, lender risk management and general risk management. It is therefore a regulatory requirement and a proven method of entering into a contract with all your suppliers. Select the measures that motivate good behavior.
The first objective of any metric is to motivate the corresponding behaviors on behalf of the client and service provider. Each side of the relationship tries to optimize its actions to achieve the performance goals defined by the metrics. First, focus on the behavior you want to motivate. Then test your metrics by placing yourself instead of the other side. How would you optimize your performance? Does this optimization support the results initially desired? This last point is crucial. Service requirements and supplier functions are changing, so it is necessary to ensure that ALS is kept up to date.
